The space
Wake up to uninterrupted Mediterranean views right on the Buġibba seafront. The apartment is bright, modern and directly on the front — not a few streets back with a "partial sea view", but on it.
Two bedrooms sleep four between a double and two singles, and a sofa bed in the living room takes a fifth. Two bathrooms, so five people in the morning is never a queue. The kitchen is a full one rather than a kitchenette, which matters on a longer stay when you don't want to eat out every night.
The balcony faces west over the water. That is the room everyone ends up in — coffee in the morning, a glass of something at the other end of the day, and the sun going down into the sea in front of you.
The Wi-Fi is fast enough to work on properly, if you're extending the trip or never really switching off.
Step out of the door and you're on the promenade: swimming spots, beach clubs, restaurants and bars, and the walk round to Qawra and St Paul's Bay in either direction. It suits families, couples and groups of friends who want somewhere central and on the sea without it being complicated.

Where you’ll be
Buġibba, San Pawl il-Baħar
Buġibba and Qawra together make up the biggest resort stretch on the island, and the promenade is the spine of it. From the door you can walk the front in either direction — round the point to Qawra and the National Aquarium one way, along towards St Paul's Bay and the salt pans at Salina the other.
Everything day-to-day is within a few minutes on foot: supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, and more restaurants and bars than you'll get through in a week. The swimming here is off rock platforms and the perched beach rather than long sand, and it's the easiest water access of anywhere on the island — steps and ladders straight in.
This is also the best corner of Malta to be based if you're island-hopping. Boats to Comino and the Blue Lagoon leave from the bay in season, and Ċirkewwa, for the Gozo ferry, is about twenty minutes up the coast. Buses to Valletta, Mdina and the airport go from Buġibba square.
You don't need a car here. If you bring one, note that seafront parking is on the street and gets busy in high season.

Is it cheaper to book direct with Merill?

What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel free of charge up to 14 days before arrival and we refund the full amount to your card. Inside 14 days we refund 50%, and inside 48 hours the booking is non-refundable.
How does check-in work?
Self check-in with a lockbox. We send the code and directions before you travel, so you can land at any hour without waiting for a key handover.
Is a car necessary?
No. You're on the Buġibba seafront, so the promenade, the restaurants and the swimming are all on foot, and buses to Valletta, Mdina and the airport go from Buġibba square. If you do hire a car, note that parking here is on the street and gets busy in high season.
How close is the sea?
You're on the seafront itself, not a few streets back. The promenade and the swimming platforms are directly outside, and the balcony faces west over the water.
